Love that suits humans consists of giving. Only when one has transcended one's narcissistic animal nature can one freely give. That way man becomes cooperative which is the only condition through which humans can flourish as a species. Flourishing is the result of love.

An alienated individual who can not attain to meaningful purpose in life tries to lose himself with drugs, loud music, extreme living etc -- 'alternative lifestyles' characterized primarily by pleasure and thrill.

When marriage has already outlived its original purpose, and become a joke, it's funny to see people now fighting for the right to same-sex marriage. Maybe people are so bored with existence that they would take up any trivial matter as a 'cause'.

The 'invisible hand' in free market (Adam Smith) and likewise also in free society may be great in shaping the universe, but it can not be friendly to humans; because it's Nature's hand, and Nature does't serve human agenda.
